The RN91xx module delivers global coverage for 5G Rel 15. It supports both SA mode as well as NSA mode networks and offers a C-V2X modem as an optional add-on.
RN91xx supports 5G sub-6 bands, LTE-FDD, LTE-TDD, WCDMA and 2G, covering worldwide networks with regional variants (NA, EU, and CHN-JP). Additionally, it can also be configured as a global variant covering major carriers in most countries, with optional support for C-V2X (PC5).
RN91xx provides a smart solution which enables automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to build a Linux-based connectivity and telematics control unit using a single module. Delivering up to 2.4Gbps downlink throughput, it comes with a dedicated application processor running an open-source, Linux-based application development platform.
The module features support for MF-GNSS (Multi-Frequency Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver, a C-V2X modem, and ARM TrustZone based security features. It reduces system complexity and time to market with its established automotive-grade certifications, quality processes, and tolerance to extreme operating environments and temperatures.
