Position / Assignment Purpose

We are hiring a Validation Engineer who will execute, maintain and develop validation tests to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our embedded systems as a member of Integration team. Leveraging Jenkins for automation and Lua for scripting, you will play a pivotal role in the validation process.

Key Accountabilities / Statement of Work
  • Execute, maintain, and develop validation tests for embedded Linux devices using Lua and other relevant testing frameworks.
  • Design automated test cases to validate functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring the reliability and performance of embedded systems.
  • Utilize Jenkins to configure and manage CI/CD pipelines for test automation, enhancing test coverage and efficiency.
  • Investigate, analyze, and troubleshoot issues that arise during validation testing, working with development teams to identify root causes and implement fixes.
  • Manage and configure the hardware environment, including embedded Linux devices, testing interfaces, and networking setups.
  • Ensure the stability, accessibility, and readiness of all hardware resources necessary for validation testing.
  • Generate reports from Jenkins and other tools to track validation status, test coverage, and key metrics.
Required Experience
  • At least 3+ years of experience in embedded Linux validation or a similar role, focusing on automated testing and validation in embedded environments.
  • Proven experience working with embedded devices and understanding of hardware-software interactions.
  • Jenkins : Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD and automated test pipeline management.
  • Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) Testing : Solid experience with HIL testing setups, including hardware configuration, management, and maintenance.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Automation Frameworks : Knowledge of test automation frameworks relevant to embedded systems.
  • Linux OS : Strong understanding of embedded Linux, including kernel modules, drivers, and system utilities.
  • Lua Scripting : Proficiency in Lua or similar scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation and scripting tasks.
